The QMD group at UFTP

The Quantum Molecular Dynamics model is a microscopic model used to simulate relativistic heavy ion collisons in the energy domain between 50 MeV/nucleon and 1.5 GeV/nulceon. Main goals are to gain understanding about the following physical phenomena:
  1. Onset of flow
  2. Multifragmentation
  3. Collective Effects: bounce-off and squeeze-out
  4. Particle production: pions and kaons
  5. Delta-matter
