Equations of State of Infinite Strangelets

Let us examine now the phase diagram of a hadronic resonance gas in equilibrium with the strange quark matter equation of state derived above. Fig. 20 shows the plane for a fixed strangeness fraction of and MeV. Even for low temperatures and baryon densities this simple model predicts the coexistence of a hadron- and a QGP-phase.

  Figure : Phase diagram of a hadron gas and infinite quark matter (BMeV) for fixed . This illustrates that the thermodynamical properties of a strange system can indeed be strange! Calculations of QGP signals should therefore take this finite net-strangeness degree of freedom into account.
