Hyperon-nucleon interaction in chiral effective field theory
Johann Haidenbauer (FZ Jülich)
The Julich-Bonn-Munich Group aims at an extensive study of the
baryon-baryon interaction involving strange baryons ($\Lambda$,
$\Sigma$, $\Xi$) within SU(3) chiral effective field theory. An
overview of recent results and of work in progress will be
provided. Among the issues covered are:
- Extension of the $\Lambda$-$N$ - $\Sigma$-$N$ interaction to
next-to-next-to-leading order in the chiral expansion
- Application of that interacton to studies of
$\Lambda$-hypernuclei up to $A=5$
- Exploration of possible effects from $\Lambda$-$N$-$N$ three-body
forces
- Results for the $\Xi$-$N$ interaction at next-to-leading order
and implication of that interaction for $\Xi$-hypernuclei
The colloquium will be streamed but not recorded.
